Love Struck Perfume Advert.

Language:
This is a print advert for a perfume named 'Love Struck'.The first convention you spot is the image of the actual perfume bottle that is covered in the colour light pink and roses are the bottle top. There is similarity to the couple in the background and the perfume as the man is giving the lady roses just like the ones from the Love Struck Perfume. There is synergy between the man and women in the advert and the name of the perfume bottle. The man is in love with the lady who is wearing the perfume to make her smell nice and presumably look better. Unlike many adverts, this one doesn't have a slogan but the name of the perfume is catchy and memorable because it is shown twice in the advert in similar places. There is a brief show of words in this advert. The setting in this advert is a balcony in Paris as they call it the city of love.

Institution:
The institution behind this perfume is a lady named Vera Wang, an american designer that designs your dress for your wedding. She doesn't just make perfumes but she makes many jewellery. The dress the lady in the background is wearing is a design of Vera Wang so she may be advertising her dresses, indirectly. This perfume was not essentially made by a company but made by one woman.

Audience:
The target audience for this advert is only females. Vera Wang will also be targeting teenage girls as they do tend to wear perfume at their age. The gender sticks at females as this perfume is designed to be a girls best friend. I believe the age range is wide but concentrates at people who are 13-40, middle classed females and professionals, however this advert appeals more to 20-40 as the lady in the background is aged around 20-40.

Representation:
In this advert, the lady is shown with great power and confidence, therefore to the target audiences, they may think buying this perfume will make them more confident about themselves and more powerful. Many product buyers may feel more attractive after spraying this perfume because of the young model in the background. Using a cream colour in the background allows the perfume bottle, the lady and man to be highlighted as they are all wearing bold colours which make them stand out. The colour pink is used for the text because the colours associated with 'love' is pink or red.
